We are a family owned business in Brinston Ontario Canada and have been in business for 30 years. We sell dairy equipment to farmers. We sell and service two distinct brands - Boumatic (www.boumatic.com) and Lely (www.lely.com).

We are looking for a website design that is simple, modern, clean and professional (with a splash of coolness) and a flexible design that can allow for pages to me edited for pictures and text. We will not have any online store, but will feature a home page, an "about us" page, a few pages featuring pictures of our installations and crew - Really just a site to show off our staff, and product.

Our target market is modern farmers. Lely's theme colour is red and Bou-Matic's is blue. I will attach our current logo formats and await your designs.

I have been asked about coding etc. If you are designing this for Wordpress or something I can edit easily then I will need the coding so it will be functional on that platform. Otherwise I will need further help once your design is chosen to edit and publish. If that makes sense.

  Hello!
  Any design can be adapted to both a CMS like Wordpress as well as HTML5/CSS3 development only.
  Now in the brief you mention you want to edit the content, then it is much faster in Wordpress development since to edit the HTML5 would have to be developed with PHP and HTML5, and that takes more time. So I thought Wordpress.
  In a development from scratch with PHP HTML5/CSS the developer also have to provide the code and how to use it. With Wordpress the PHP source code is assembled; the designer/developer will adapt the design and will add the necessary source code for it. And of course, he/she also have to provide extra code that has added and yes often have to explain the operation.

As I see designs coming in I thin is is important to look for a design with "neutral" colours for the main part of the site - tan or brown- or grey just no completely Blue or completely Red. Yes our two main sales brands are Lely - Red and BouMatic - Blue, but we need to look to the browsing farmer that we sell both with equal weight. We can feature a Lely page or a BouMatic page and then go red and blue, but our Home page etc. should be neutral.
