I have started a company that certifies restaurants that they give away their food. http://redistribute.me tells more about what we are doing. I need to own all rights to anything that is used in developing my trademark and logo, so all art must be original. Sorry I can't offer more money, but I'm self funding this whole project. I'm thinking a retro look would be cool for the logo, but am certainly open to your better ideas.

Ultimately I need two items: 1) A trademark, which will be a simple/minimalist symbol that the restaurant can print on their business card, etc, which will symbolize that they are certified. I am thinking something simple, like a wheat stalk... 2) A logo, for the business, The International Food Redistribution Network.

However, as I think about things a little more, if you can create a certification mark, which I can then use a subset of as my logo, as well as the plain symbol for my trademark, that would be super cool, and would all flow together well and provide consistency. So give that a shot... Create the certified larger mark and then you can just break it up once I down select to the top two designs.
