The contest is to create a logo and a page mockup for an events listing website. Deliverables will be PSDs or other graphics files. We will also need any supporting graphics files such as fonts and images.

Techwrap is an events listings site for the UK tech industry. It aggregates business and technology events for the startup community. We need to provide a clear interface for users to discover and register interest for events.

First deliverable is a logo. We're looking for something original, clean but not a corporate boilerplate. This will be used on the website and elsewhere.

Second, we require a page mockup for "Upcoming Events". This is a chronological list of upcoming events, starting from today and continuing into the future. Each event listing needs the following details to be included:

Name of event
Date / Time
Name of organisers
200 (or so) character description
name of town
Category tags (one or more of the following: Coding; hardware; conference; business; social; training)

These listings are text only. We will need striping (or similar) to easily distinguish between different days. We will also include a calendar selector to jump to events of any given day using a simple calendar-style js selector. The category tags will also need to appear in a navigation menu on the homepage.

For a quick reference, have a look at meetup.com ("calendar" view) or eventbrite, both of which have linear, text-only event listings in a similar format.
