Brief: We would like a brand new logo created for our online dating website, Singles @ Singapore. It should appeal to singles from around the world (because half the Singapore population is made up of expatriates). We want people to keep coming back to our website, forge real connections with others and find true love! The logo should be unique, memorable, classy and sophisticated, preferably with a tastefully used icon and nice font for the text. It should be semi-serious and not too casual.

For those submissions that we have rated 3 stars and above, we have added individual comments to each one. Please have a look.

UPDATE: We are seeing a number of entries make use of the Singapore flag and colours in the design. Please note that we want to play down on these elements. The focus of the logo must be on dating, love and romance, and should have little or nothing to do with Singapore itself as a nation. Attached are some examples we like.

UPDATE 2:

Suggested graphical element in the logo - hearts, people, silhouettes, his and hers signs, etc. So far we have seen a lot of hearts being used, which is great. We would also like to see more lively logos that integrate the human element in it, which can be human figures, silhouettes, faces etc.

Suggested colours - red, baby blue, baby pink, purple

Design requirements:
- Logo must have the words "Singles Singapore". The "@" may be omitted if it can't be presented elegantly.
- Look good on both dark and light backgrounds
- Look good in black and white
- Fit well in both vertical and horizontal orientation
- Remains recognisable in small (e.g. business card) spaces

Formatting requirements:
- Adobe Illustrator AI/Photoshop PSD format
- Vector-based image
- File must preserve transparency

Deliverables:
- Adobe Illustrator AI/Photoshop PSD layered file
- Font files
- A favicon will be appreciated

hello contest holder.....just wondering if you ever looked at the new submissions after your last ratings (a few days ago)....I sens this pattern of laziness or lack of interest by the end of the competition (contrasting with the enthusiasm from the beginning)...I don`t know why is it so hard to pay a little respect for peoples` work and just rate or reject the entries?
