We organize free group meditation events in cities around the world. During the event we offer basic meditation instruction, lead guided meditations, and perform live music for meditation. Many people are seeking a group meditation experience, but either have no group or don't want to formally be a part of one. This is an opportunity for someone to come and feel the synergy of collective meditation and sit back an take a guided tour into more expanded, mystical and peaceful consciousness. Our target audience is 18-35 year old, hip and dynamic individuals who are searching for something deeper to give more meaning and substance to life. This is not a retreat to the caves, but learning how to tap into the peace and power that exists within the hearts of each one of us, then bringing it into our lives and the world around us. The instruction is based on the teachings of Sri Chinmoy, who taught that inside the center of our chest is our spiritual heart, which is the seat of our soul. Our soul permeates our entire being, but is most concentrated in our spiritual heart. Therefore the heart is the source of illumination for the entire being. Lastly, while many people are trying to manage or escape from the high stress level of modern living -- and we welcome them -- there is a deeper mystical element that they may be searching for or may not be aware they are hungry for. So our events are not so much an escape, but more like accessing higher capacities within oneself and the collective group, and hopefully pointing them to their own inner journey. The group setting offers cameraderie and synergistic oneness.
One thing we don't want: the cliche image of the hot girl in a meditative pose. We would like to avoid any "sexy" element. An image of a girl is fine, just without seductive emphasis. That said, there are many images of meditators or artwork out there that nicely communicates meditation. Our ideal is to somehow illustrate the group or collective aspect of more than one person. This can also be in an abstract design and/or stylistic use of the words "Let's Meditate". Example logos* we like (in no particular order):
*Please note that we are also open to a treatment of only the words "Let’s Meditate".
