We are a steel foundry located in Istanbul/Turkey specialised on cement factory spare parts.
The name of our company is "Körfez Döküm San. Tic. A.Ş"

The firm has been established in 1988, has been in business for 26 years.
We are producing steel castings varying between 0,5 to 5.000 Kgs 65% of our products are exported

- Spare parts for cement industry (Crushers, mills, cooler plates, kilns, etc)
- Spare parts for heat treatment
- Spare parts for incineration and recycling plants
- Spare parts for mining and petrochemical industries
- Spare parts for power plants
Target Group
- Cement industry (%70-80)

What is the target audience's perception?
Domestic: If a complicated product which is normally imported will be casted locally in Turkey the only foundry capable of doing it properly is Korfez. (Good engineering skills)
Castings produced in Korfez have longer product life compared to those produced in other foundries.
Requirements and obligations for design
- No strict obligations for colour, but pure bright red and pure black are not wanted
- Sharp lines, sharp edges are not wanted
- Gears, melting pots and similar industrials symbols are not wanted in the logo
- Plain, uncomplicated, modern and easy to remember

Hi sir. Will you please look at entry #162? I know it's a bit off the requested, but I had this idea of an abstract melting pot and just had to execute it. I feel strongly about this logo, I think its very bold, has a strong image, is very unique and has the potential to be timeless. Please rate it and, If possible, leave some feedback. Thank you. =)

For color combinations, warm yellow ( something like HKS 04-05 E or pantone 123C) with dark grey could be an alternative; From the color library of Photoshop pantone +Premium metallics coated 'pantone 10296 C' could also be used with the combination of steel gray. Blue tones like Trumatch 25 a4 or green tones like truematch 24a6 are all possibilities.

Hello and thanks to every one contributing until today. There were a lot of creative designs. I just wanted to clarify one point. Since our business is steel casting, the logo should somehow be associated with the business we are doing, it could be the color, or shape (e.g.an ABSTRACT version of the melting pot); you can Google seach 'steel casting images' for some visual ideas.
