Contest Brief
FromtheForest.com needs a new logo to update the look and feel of the brand.
This amazingly innovative company focuses on the high quality USA based manufacturing of hardwood flooring. The company has an amazing track record of innovation and cutting edge application of technology to achieve more beautiful and incredibly durable flooring.
The new logo should present the company image in a fresh way.
The company is open to lots of ideas, but it seems like a clean, modern and precise look will work best. The company has a terrific environmental record which makes the amount of hardwood required to produce flooring lower and lower. This saves forests and still let's people have beautiful floors. The sustainable harvesting plus the low VOC ratings make this a very earth friendly floor.
The tagline is Innovations with Flooring. You can show a version of the new logo with and without this tagline if you would like.
The winning candidate will need to provide a vector image (.ai) as well as .eps, .psd, .jpg and .png. We need all of these versions with a white background and a transparent background.

As far as I can tell ASAL53 you did not submit an entry. Therefore your negative comments about other peoples entries are not helpful. When the client is happy with what they want that is success. It is not relevant if you like the design or not since you are neither the client nor the target audience. Please do not spam our comment area any further with your negative comments since you are not helpful.

u always so this..first give the ratigns and at last choose a dumb logo..in previous contest u have done this.plz be fare and choose professioanl logo.thank u.

thank u for reply.I always suggest before helding the contest a man should study what is logo,how the font balace should be , how it will looks and present on diffrent things when it is place,ELEGANT, APPROPRIATENESS, ORIGINALITY.VERSATILITY they should know this, also a professional contest holder never take so much of time, when a designer spend his time and makes the logo within the given time, u should chhose winner within 24hours after the contest is closed, u take 12-15 days and u will forget everthing and some team members says this is good and u will flow your decision in his way...Ask any professional designer your decision was really bad in past contest, also plz dont give ratings for cliparts please..Iam rude but what i say is true.all the best for company.thank u.

ASAL53.... I agree with you, most of the contest holders don't know what are they looking for and what design is... the winning entry have two leaf in his logo and the company name is " from the forest " ! and this is for manufacturing of hardwood flooring! strange !

Hello Artist, rest assured we are looking at every entry. As we go into the final couple days I would strongly suggest thinking about an image that is not a tree. Although a tree theme may work we're hoping that your creative energy can be applied to a symbol that represents the company without being so literal. Thank you for listening and participating. :)

I agree. But on the other hand, I'm not surprised. Mostly because of the fact that contest holder keeps telling us how he don't want a tree logo, and then you look at the ratings and realize that whole first page of the contest is a nice tree logo collage. And not a single logo without tree or leaf got 4 stars.

Hello Artists: We wanted to add a couple notes: First your work must be your own and not a copy from other art found elsewhere. Second there are a lot of pictures of trees. The company sells flooring. It is clear that the name from the forest makes a lot of us think of trees. However, the end product is hardwood flooring planks which make home interiors beautiful. I encourage you to consider the concept of a logo graphic mark that IS NOT just a tree. Thank you all.
