Faculty Awards is a yearly contest similar to the Academy Awards (better known as "Oscars") where professors in the United States vote to select a winner in categories such as Best Professor, Most Appreciated by Students, etc.

This contest is for the design of a logo for the Faculty Awards website and organization. We are looking for a simple but elegant, original, and recognizable logo that can be used both on the web and in print materials (color and monochrome).

The logo should be relatively narrow (the width should be significantly greater than the height). A ratio of approximately 5:1 between the width and the height is probably OK. See attached screenshot.

The deliverable of the contest is a vector file (.AI preferred, .SVG or other vector format acceptable). Your submission can be just a PNG or JPG rendering.

In addition to the $50 winner prizes of $35 and $20 respectively will be awarded to the 2nd and 3rd place.
