Contest Brief

I need a creative logo to be used for an education reform organization that is called AssistEd Shift
-you do not have to use "AssistEd Shift" in the logo if you think that it is best not to.

We are starting an organization that works to help reform education. It is our belief that schools are becoming irrelevant in the United States and that we are not preparing our students for the real world. Instead of listening to lectures, memorizing facts, and taking tests, students need to learn skills such as communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity as well getting experience. For this reason we have started a group that is trying to help implement this change. There is a lot of resistance because most educators want to "see it work" before they do it. For this reason, our group is trying to "Assist" a shift in education by helping provide resources, consulting, and guidance. This is how the name AssistEd Shift came about (the E in AssistEd is capitalized on purpose). I only provide this background to give the inspiration and concept for the logo.

Your creative genius is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Our group had some logos, but didn't like the ones that we had. Take this opportunity to make a little bit of money, but help create a LOT of necessary change.

I am hoping to receive a vector file and a .jpeg of the logo.

I think that some of the logos represent education in too "traditional" of a sense. The main purpose of AssistEd Shift is that school needs to change or be reformed in order to be relevant and empower students. I like most of the designs, but some are too traditional (books, graduation hats, pens, etc...
