Hello,

We're going to try the contest method again as some of you designers are very talented! We're easy to work with, and give clear directions quickly... so nobody wastes time. (Just check out our great feedback.)

We work fast. We'll check this regularly and give you updates. We plan to pick and pay in the next 48 hours.

What we need:
A logo for: Lionheart Sports
It can be color.
But it must be usable, or include a usable version, that works in black/white (like when used on t-shirts).
This will used on a website, printed materials, and clothing.

The look:
Keep the focus on the name. The use of basketball (and possibly other sport items) would be fine, but the focus is the name. There is no 'official' font right now. The ideas of professionalism and activity should show. We're not concerned about shape (square/rectangle...).

File format to deliver:
JPG or PNG until the contest is awarded. Then a layered PSD or an AI file for delivery. Be sure to name the fonts you use (if any).
Everything done will be considered 'work-for-hire' under US law. All rights to the work will transfer from you to us upon payment of the contest award.

Just waiting on the designer to finish the hand-off. Once it's wrapped up I'll happily post the winner. It's only really good for reference. There were several very nice entries (including yours Cole). In each case it just comes down to personal preference rather than skill once it's a final three or four.

Ok. We're set. There are a couple EXCELLENT entries, so we may be in contact with a couple of you to adapt the logo for another use. But the logo we've selected for final revisions has been made. Thank you all for your participation and patience with our unexpected delay. Unless something goes very wrong here with the final edits this contest is wrapped up.

  Did you notice I said 'No more entries please?' I have a boss too. ...and he's late delivering a selection. That's out of my control, but we're not trying to drive more. I think the very high level of feedback/engagement speaks for itself. I am sorry I am not fully in control of selection; we'd be wrapped up and closed if so. As it is I'm dependent on my boss to give me an OK. Sorry for the delay.

- Keep the focus on the words (like 'Coca-Cola' does with their script logo, and not like 'Pepsi' with their dumb circle thing).
- No heart graphics.
- A lion, or lion head, is fine if you want. ...but remember it's got to be usable in monochrome for the t-shirts.

  thank you for your last comment. I can see where your rationale comes from, even I don't agree with it. You still sound just as cocky but I like you a little more now :-)
  I totally agree that clipart or other fraudulent postings deserve no comment, as the people who tried to full you know exactly that they are doing just that. But I see too many other cases when there has been clearly a legitimate effort and I think that ignoring those people with disdain just because they don't meet certain standards, is simply morally wrong.

  ...as to 'certain standards' or 'morally wrong'... Meh. I'm not their mommy. I have the time to help good people do better. I have no desire to help the lax or unskilled do better.
  Why give feedback to those designers whose work doesn't show any effort or thought (because even if I don't like it, I can tell what had effort in it and what didn't)? If other CH do, or don't, do similarly it's not my bag. All I can do is make sure the time I have is spent on people who will appreciate it.
  
  ...speaking of time. Y'all have other things to work on I'm sure as do I. I'll have a verdict in the AM.

  It would be wise not to assume what one has or has not read. If I missed the mark completely with my first design, it's not because I didn't read all the postings, it's because these postings din't provide enough info to get a very clear picture of what you want. But given the cockiness of some other public comments you made, I'm no longer interested. As you see, I read them all.
