I require a logo and key design elements (colour and shape palette) for a new business called "Nanny Circle".

The business operates a shared nanny service. We employ a nanny, then match her with groups of families who share the cost of childcare. We are based in Australia.

The logo design will be used on the website (www.nannycircle.com.au - under development), third party websites (e.g. Craigslist) as well as printed material.

The idea behind the name Nanny Circle is that the nanny and each of the families who share the Nanny are part of a "circle" of caring for their children. This forms bonds of mutual support and provides the best learning and support environment for children aged 1-5 years old.

The primary customers of this business will be Australian mothers aged 25-40, who will be returning to work after a period of maternity leave. They are looking for a hassle-free experience where they know their child will receive excellent, personalised care by a nanny she knows and trusts. Because the costs of the nanny are shared with other families, it is also a cost-effective option for child care.

The logo and design should have a "woman's touch" - it is likely the winning designer of this contest will be a woman, who knows how other mother's feel and can relate this in the design elements. It should have warm and welcoming, bright colours to give a sense of caring, and also a professionalism to indicate that we are a reputable company. Design elements should be focused on people, and could include pictures/photos/drawings of mothers and children, showing a caring relationship (for example, holding hands).

The logo and design elements will be incorporated into a website that I will build using SquareSpace (http://www.squarespace.com/). Therefore you should include a number of versions of the logo (e.g. against a solid background, a transparent version I can use over the top of other backgrounds etc.). The website will also require further design work, so it is likely that the winner of this contest will be eligible to work on the website as well.

Hello,

To clarify, if you are going to show images of children on the logo, please make sure the children are not babies (i.e. they should look between 1 and 5 years old, so may be toddlers). Also, do not show images of a mother and child - our service is for a nanny caring for 2-3 children.

Also, please note that our preference is to use a circle or swirl symbol with the logo. This should appear somewhere in the logo.
