Hello designers,

I am looking to have a logo designed for a start-up company. The logo is to be used on the company's website as well as official documents, company letter head...and so on.

Requirements:

- Company name: "Ficus Green" and it provides IT related services. "Ficus" is a plant family that attaches itself to other plants, grows on them, grows big and long enough to reach down to ground where i can plant its own seeds in the soil and the seeds grow from there. The logo does NOT need to illustrate the way the "Ficus" plant grows or plants its seeds or grows on other plants. But the idea here is that it is a plant and it is "green'. So you can think of plants, leaves, seeds, water drops to grow plants...etc anything to do with "plant" and "green".

- Even though the company name is "Ficus Green", the logo would just need to have the text: "Ficus" in it.

- The logo needs to have both an image and a text - where these 2 can be separated, if needed. The image part needs to be, conceptually, something similar to Android robot, or the Michelin tire alien, or Geico lizard that can represent the company on the website, on TV, newspaper...etc. On the oter hand, the text can be used on official documents, letter head. For example, the Android icon is used everywhere represent Android (so it is actually the "face" of the company whereas the text: "Android" is used on official documents, letter heads, company website).

- Therefore, I imagine the logo image part would be something in the form of plant or something that has to do with plantgreen and that would have eyes, mouth (smiley?), and maybe even hands andor legs. Must be very user friendly that gives warm and friendly feeling to people.

- Not something very complicated to the point where when printed on small scaled objects (pens, pencils, or document headerfooter, or a website button) that it loses its focus or hard to distinguish.

I personally prefer maybe a little, chubby seed or a bean with some eyes and a mouth. And maybe with some little plants as hair or hat or hands or something like that. Please also keep in mind that the logo would be used throughout the website to illustrate different parts such as Knowledge Base, FAQs, Services, Contact Us, About Us...etc so if you can improvise your logo in a way that you either dress it up or change its facial expression for "FAQ" section (example: eye-glasses and a question mark next to it) and "Contact Us" section (example: the logo subject with a cell phone) and "Services" section (example: the logo with a business attire) and submit these different variations that will be great.

For a complete set of logos as described above, I am willing to pay little more to the contest winner (if one is chosen).

It's not only against the Terms of Service to use stolen images, it is against US Copyright law. Using Disney characters...serious fines could be involved. Shame on you.

Thanks for all the proposals so far.

I will wait to receive more contest entries before I start reviewing them officially on this web. But, please know that I have already started reviewing internally. There are about 4 designs I like so far but they are not 100% what I am looking for.

Again, what I am really looking for is something to be the "face" of the company and a guide throughout the website. So the logo would preferably have a face (eyes, mouth). The logo itself should symbolize something related to "green" or "plant" or "grow". So for example it can be a leaf (which most of you designed the logos for) or it can be a water-drop and a small plant or it can be a seed or a bean...etc.
