Contest Brief

Contest Description:
We need a logo design for our online retailing website “BambooJoey” and sister company “BambooPal”

We mainly make and sell hand-made organic bamboo products.
We sell under three categories; Bamboo Tech/Gadgets (keyboard, mice, flash drive…), Bamboo Craft (bamboo teabox, decoration items…) and Bamboo Clothing (towel, tablecloth, socks, underwear…)

Our company is named BambooJoey, a reference to “joeys” (baby/young kangaroo) cult icon of Australia, where we operate our business.

We expect;

1) The logo should be easily identifiable and stand out.
2) The logo to be simple but unique
3) The logo should be professional looking yet warm and cozy.
4) The logo should also work both in color and greyscale.
5) The logo should be creative in design so that we can use it on many different platforms

In general, we want “Bamboojoey” logo to be more relax, warm and funny while “BambooPal” to be more soothing, relaxing and plain.
The main selling point of our company is that we are designing and making our own organic bamboo products, which are all hand-made – for instance every bamboo keyboard is hand-made. We provided a little sandbox below summarizing the key characteristic of our products which may –hopefully- inspire you to come up with great logo designs:

Keywords: Eco-friendly, sustainable, Anti-sweat, Anti-radiation, Anti-static, Natural, Organic, Biodegradable Durable, Trendy, Healthy, Fashionable, Comfortable.

    @Ailya13: Feedback from other company members: The logo icon part is great (we all agree that) but few people though that the text part is not suitable for a logo. The text must be created with a very simple but a catchy font.

    @ysfworks: very warm and friendly icon, loved it! However the text doesn't complement it very well. You did very well in combining green, orange, grey in "Techble" logo. You can try blending shades of green with brown and white in the text for bamboopal or bamboojoey

    @J2Creative: Your last entry is really good, thank you. I loved the addition of bamboo leaves. Can you add distribute more leaves around the letters, I think it complements well with the Joey's green underwear.

    @J2Creative: Great concept, thank you very much. I have two comments: 1) Can you make the face the joey more like a kangaroo-ish - it looks like a little mouse face. Also is it possible to make it more obvious that some of the letters are actually "bamboo shoots"?

    @everyone: you may think of adding a simple gimmick to the letters "O" in the bamboo. E.g. smiley face or bubbles coming from "O"s etc.. Jacquieflardo thought about passing a bamboo shoot from B and P which is a good example
