Contest Brief
This contest is to create an original piece of artwork as a vector image of the Veitch family coat of arms.
The coat of arms is described below, and 2 images are attached which you can use as the basis of your art work.
The name " VEITCH " needs to be at the top of the coat of arms on a ribbon, and the family motto to also be below the main image on ribbon. The family motto reads " FAMAM EXTENDIMUS FACTIS "
It is described as a Bull's Head on top of a Knight's Helmet both at 45 degrees to the front of the image. There is a rope like band going around the top of the Knight's Helmet. This rope band should be coloured blue and silver.
Below the Knight's Helmet is a Silver Shield featuring 3 Bulls heads looking straight forwards. The top of the shield is flat.
The Bull's heads on the shield and above the knight's helmet should be black in colour.
There are also plumes like the leaf of a flower which extend from the top of the knight's helmet to the bottom of the shield. These plumes can be shaded using black, very dark blue, light blue, white and silver colours as needed.
The ribbons upon which Veitch name and family motto are written, should be black text on a silver ribbon.

Lots of really good entries. Thank you everyone. What I like best about the different entries are as follows;
No11 and no16 by Bibicon are the closest to what I am looking for as the final product and covering the whole brief. That said I really like the shield with the three bulls heads and the shape and striking colours of the blue flower leaves in entry 13 by crossforth. Entry 21 by porderanto is also very very good and probably has my favourite helmet, shield and ribbons with the name and motto out of all the entries. These are all brilliant entries. Hi, I'm a little confused as to what you are looking for. You say to create a vector image, which I have done, but in your brief you say "your art work." Do you want the image you have provided to be vectored or do you want original artwork of the image?

I am looking for original artwork to be created. The two images provided are as examples to support the description of what is required. The output is required as a vector image not a raster image. That is what I meant. I hope this provides clarity. Thanks.
