Kringlela Creative Brief: Packaging for Nut Squares

Project Name: Kringlela “Raw Nut Square” Retail Package Design

***Project Description/Request: Make front and back label design appear more eye catching to target customers. Also open to new Logo suggestions. The label will be applied to a standup, ziplock pouch. Need a design that can expand to support additional flavors (change color scheme and product name)

What are the long term goals of your company:
Create more healthy food products that taste good to consumers

Products being sold: Raw Nut Squares (Nutritional Bar/Cookie) (Three flavors: Cashew Coconut; Chocolate; Cinnamon Walnut (or Crumble, still deciding on name))

Unique selling proposition:

What our product is not:
one more of the huge array of extruded nutritional “goo” bars.

What we are:
All Natural - Nothing Artificial (~50% Organic - Can’t legally say “organic” unless you are 75%+)
Contains extremely nutritious ingredients (we say “most nutritious in the world”)
Uniquely layered (rather than all ingredients mixed together like many extruded “goo” bars)whole nuts which give varying textures, and tastes great to wide array of people (not just raw foodies, vegans)
Raw (Mostly)
Vegan
Kosher
Non GMO
Features image list of ingredients (promoting transparency and emphasis on our natural, quality ingredients)
Hand made
No gluten Ingredients (made in a facility where gluten products are also manufactures so we can’t legally say “Gluten Free”)

The Elevator Pitch:
A completely natural, vegan nut square that actually tastes good. Its similar to a nutritional bar, but layered and textured rather than being mixed and extruded like so many “goo bars.”

What type of packaging: Stand Up Pouch

***Deliverable: - Front & Back Label for Pouch: 6.75” H x 4.5”

Pouch is frosted with a small clear window (see provided example) to allow customers to see product through clear window in pouch. But we’re also open to designs that are made for a package without a window.

Front label will be a clear plastic with images laid on top. This is so when the label is applied to the package, you can still see through the label which will cover the clear window on the pouch.

Requesting a finished product but also need source file to make edits (such as adding new Nutritional Facts, Net Weight, Bar Codes)

Additional Thoughts/Notes:

We want a unified look for our corporate brand
We want to be perceived as a medium-high end product.
We don’t want to be perceived as coming from a big industrial food company.
Produced by a socially responsible, nutritionally knowledgable team.
Packaging much be inexpensive.
Want to be able to see product in package through clear window on pouch.
