I started The Art of Coffee because I want to bring good coffee to anyone and everyone. This applies to the coffee lovers at home, to the hotels and restaurants who make rubbish coffee (most of the time!) and everywhere in between.
My ambition for The Art of Coffee is to instil the confidence in barista’s (home or work) to make the best coffee possible with what they have. By teaching them the necessary skills, they’ll be able to get the most out of their bean, and not be so quick to blame their tools.
In July I will be opening a coffee school in London to accredit Barista's in skills towards a coffee diploma.
I want the brand to be sophisticated enough to be taken seriously (to appeal to corporations), yet not overly snooty to scare away the general public. This is quality training to be taken seriously, solely because everyone deserves good coffee. Not because we want to turn our noses up to the “inferior” coffee companies (Starbucks/Costa etc.).
