Change White Background to Black on USB Flash Drive Illustration

Contest Brief

Provided here is an AI file of a USB Flash Drive on a white background. I need the upper part of the illustration (where the 2 flash drives are stacked) changed to a black background. I tried it myself in Photoshop but I can not get the background with the 2 stack flash drives to look, "TOTALLY REAL". It is important to maintain the reflections under the flash drives too.

Also, please provide illustration on a black "SQUARE" background. Thanks.

I will also provide the logo in case you chose to start from scratch. Please keep the look of any customized files looking the same as the illustration provided. Thank you and good luck!

Update: Only 2 days into this contest. The winning entry must look like a REAL USB FLASH DRIVE ON A SQUARE BLACK BACKGROUND. I want this illustration to look like a photo of the real thing.

I also add a photo of real stainless steel for inspiration. In addition, here is another realistic rendering of the flash drive. It's just not on a black background. Thanks.

    Guys, I am going to award this prize to MinaMakar's entry #75 ! His convincing use of 3D imaging to convey the texture and light of brushed stainless steel was unparalleled amongst the entries. The fact the he caught and corrected the perspective distortion in the original file was brilliant. Furthermore, when I asked for a square format, notice how he pushed the bottom USB flash drive under the top flash drive further to give the black area around his illustration more breathing room! Whenever I sent a comment or suggestion, MinaMakar always rose to the challenge. I just want to thank everyone else for all of their time and very hard work. All of your designs were excellent and several designs challenged the winning entry. You all deserve to make a living. I am sorry I can only award one prize. I hope to work with you all again in the future. All the best!

    Everyone? MinaMakar is producing one awesome design after another. He even noticed that the original illustration I provided was proportionally exaggerated. Not correct. His designs not only make proper corrections to the stainless steel surfaces but also to the angles and proportions of the flash drive. Awesome! Thanks.

    Guys. I have given my first 5 stars! It is MinaMakar's entry #66 . The steel looks very realistic, not like an illustration. It is also square format. The front fascia of the top flash drive is a little bit too dark and the flash drives are pinched a bit on the left and right but he has taken my comments and suggestions and really raised the bar!

    I also added another photo to the brief. This time of an illustration of my flash drive. It's just not on a black background but it is very realistic looking! MinaMakar has stated that the first illustration I provided does not match the measurements. Good eye!

    Just to clarify to everyone. The winning entry: 1) needs to look totally "REAL". Like a photograph of a real USB flash drive. 2) Needs to be in a square format. There are a few of you who have taken to customizing the look of the stainless steel with 3D programs. Awesome! Like I said, the winning entry will have to look like a photograph of a real USB flash drive in real space! Because you are all competing on basically the same design it is inspiring to see what you all have done to stand out. Good luck!

    Also, if any of you feel restricted by the image I provided and you think that you can render a more realistic looking flash drive by some other means, please feel free to do so. Maybe you have a program or a photo of stainless steel that is more realistic looking? I have provided the PDF of the logo in case anyone wants to design more uniquely. Thanks.

    Wow! I did not think I would get so many entries so soon. Thank you everyone. As you can see, I have so far awarded one of the entries 4 stars. The design is by MinaMakar. The reason is because this design, so far, is the most realistic looking. Though everyone else's design is beautiful, the winning entry will have to look totally real. The brushed stainless steel will have to look heavy, weighty, and look like it is sitting on a black surface. The lighting will have to look totally natural. I want anyone to look at the image and think that this is a real USB flash drive and NOT and illustration of a flash drive. Also, if you can provide a PSD or AI Vector of the image, all the better.       Hi artattackgr. Yes. the flash drives is an image. If the entries to the contest can be rendered in a PSD format or AI Vector, that will give the entry an edge. Great observation.
