I have a social enterprise startup called "Tanganyika Apicultural". The company will provide operate in Tanzania based out of our apiary, where we will also have a network of outside bee farmers that we will support with micro financial loans, trainings as well as access to markets and value add services.
We want to promote bee products (honey and beeswax mostly) from rural Tanzania. Our product will be Sustainable, Organic and fairly traded. Our business will support female economic empowerment, rural African development, biodiversity, and environmental preservation.
I want a build a website for the company that will serve the following functions:
1. provide information to the general public about the bee products that we hope to sell through an associated online store (something like Etsy)
2. serve as a hub and provide social media functionality to create an audience for the company and its impact (blogging on the site+ facebook + instagram etc.)
3. Will be a informational resource as we court local and international partners such as other NGO's and those referred to the site via our crowdfunding campaign
4. Serve as our enhanced business card for other development partners that will retain us as consultants/partners for possible projects or interventions
Aesthetically I prefer a clean yet unpretentious design like that of kinfolk.com. We want our branding to to transcend simply helping Africans and engage the discerning sustainable wholefoods shopper. Consider our logo on the first page of the slideshow in the google drive folder that is shared via the link below.
There are also a good number of hi-resolution photos that will be useful for telling the story of the site.
I will shortly provide vimeo/youtube video footage as well that I would like to have featured.

With regards to the functionality of the site, I would like to be able to update the picture gallery and other content with relative ease although I have rudimentary webdesign skills; Wordpress is highly preferred. Otherwise this website: http://utmt.in/ I think has a good structure but aethetically feels dated and too NGO-ish, as opposed to AVEDA, which has a organic luxury ethos that I would prefer. More specifically, a Tom's Shoes sensibility, with a www.harrys.com look. We are selling stuff but the website is not a shopping catalog.
Also, with regard to the content of the site, borrow heavily from the slideshow in the google drive folder.
Feel free to send me questions throughout and I will do my best to provide additional input in response to queries and as I come up with ideas.

Also, for the slider can you use mostly pictures that show the Tanzanian landscape? Thanks. The site should also be optimized for viewing on a mobile device.
