what i have done to meet your requirement is that i have just add an extra div to provide overlay so that to mask the image behind so that if you image is light or dark overlay will help to provide ba ckground to your heading and the darkness or lightness of the overlay can be changed i have three images to show the variation(lightness/darkness) of overlay and i will also help you out from any other issue related to wordpress if it will be in scope
