I was told that artists would look for fundamentals and immediately start designing covers, and would not read all my entry. Hopefully other artists will read these words. My book covers a period of about one year, from the night of the Savior's birth until the wise men visit the house in which he lived when they finally reached him. Yes, he was born in a stable, but by the time the wise men found him, he was in a house. A cross may not be appropriate because Jesus did not die and rise again until about 33 years later. For the same reason, a Madonna with child is not appropriate. But this is a great cover, and I do like the little baby in the manger.
