Résumé de concours
Our client, Rankin Construction Inc., is an innovative and diverse company that specializes in a wide range of heavy civil construction projects that include roads, bridges, sewer and water main, marine and renewable energy. Recently they have added condominium construction to their resume, having started two luxury builds in the St. Catharines/Port Dalhousie (Ontario) area. The Locks Condos is Rankin Construction’s latest addition.
The Locks gets its name from the widely-known Welland Canals located in the area, as well as the new project will be conveniently located on Lock St. in downtown Port Dalhousie.
Design a wraparound billboard (2 sides) that will be displayed at the current building site for the future development. This corner location boasts great views for a wraparound sign advertising the future project.
The Locks condo is unique in a sense that it is being built onto an old heritage hotel (the Austin House, see photo attached) that has the potential to be resorted for this project. They would like to stay true to the heritage feel the hotel has but with a modern twist. Imagery/graphics should draw from either a classic hotel design or urban loft design with elements of brick, rustic wood/barnboard, iron, etc, but you can also incorporate more nautical elements like rope and anchors. Fonts should be bold and be a blend of modern with heritage (eg. Bauhaus).
Billboard must include Rankin Construction logo (attached) and the copy provided below:
